My name is Marta and on a daily basis I combine my two passions – working with children and my love for the English education system.

In 2004 I moved to England., where a few years later I graduated in English Studies from the University of London. After finishing my studies, I started working in one of London's primary schools. For 7 years I worked with students in various classes of KS1 and KS2, gaining valuable experience in teaching according to the English curriculum.

During this period I underwent specialist training conducted under the patronage of an educational psychologist and I obtained the ELSA qualification (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant), thanks to which I could still support students more effectively with their emotional and social difficulties.

For several years – alongside my professional work – I have been tutoring English online for primary school students in the UK, mainly from England and Wales.

The year 2022 was a turning point in my career. It was then, after much consideration, that I decided to resign from my job at the school to fully devote myself to developing my own business and running an educational account on Instagram addressed to Polish parents living in the UK.

Thanks to this decision I can continue pursuing both of my passions — teaching children and raising awareness of the English education and learning system in the UK.

✍🏻 Write Like a Star (KS2) — these are classes that will help students significantly improve the quality of their English writing (writing skills). The course is divided into two parts. In the first, students polish key elements of descriptive grammar and discover tricks for creating interesting, complex sentences. In the second part, they analyze the features of stories (story writing), learn techniques for writing engaging, interesting, and descriptive stories, and then practice creating them in a way that grabs the reader's attention. 📚 Read Like a Star (KS2) — a course based on school reading comprehension (reading comprehension / whole class reading) consisting of two parts: theoretical and practical. At the beginning, children learn to recognize different types of questions that test the required reading comprehension skills and learn effective reading strategies. In the practical part, children learn to carefully analyze texts and questions about them in order to answer them exhaustively, using the strategies and tricks they have learned. 🥷🏻 Grammar Ninja (KS2) — a grammar course dedicated to students in grades 3–5, covering school material adapted to their age. During classes, students not only fill in gaps, but also improve their knowledge to reach a higher academic level. The course is divided into four key thematic blocks, which are the most difficult for children of this age: basic grammar (parts of a sentence), sentence structure, punctuation rules, and practical writing of complex sentences.
